We are excited for the return of the University of Toronto Obstetric Anesthesia Conference after a five year hiatus!

The 2025 theme, “Patient Experience and Recovery from Childbirth,” will bring together leading experts in the field of Anesthesia, Midwifery, Nursing, and Obstetrics to delve into both the current state of practice and the evolving landscape of obstetric anesthesia. Hosted by the Mount Sinai Hospital Anesthesia Department, the conference will offer valuable insights into how we can continue to enhance the care and recovery of patients during the peripartum period.

Among the key topics to be explored are:
Managing patients living with elevated BMI and the associated challenges
Strategic management of intraoperative cesarean pain
Innovations and best practices practices in labour analgesia
Updates on the management of the obstetric airway
Integrating trauma-informed care approaches to improve patient experience and outcomes

We are confident that this conference will foster meaningful discussions, provide practical knowledge, and inspire new ideas for improving patient care in obstetric anesthesia. We look forward to your participation in this exciting and informative event.
